Automatic Edge Cleaning Robot

Model:309 Pro
LIESA produces the automatic edge cleaning robot in Qingdao, China, with a dedicated edge programme that follows the boundary of the glass and cleans the strip along the frame or gasket as a defined part of the cycle. The edge pass runs after the main route. Liesa Intelligent Technology has built cleaning appliances in Qingdao since 2014, and supplies the model with OEM branding and packaging.

Dirt collects at the edge of a window. Water, dust and pollen run down the glass and stop at the boundary, where the frame or gasket holds them, and the strip along that line is where the visible grime sits. A general route crosses it once at an angle; the LIESA factory’s automatic edge cleaning robot runs a defined pass along it.

The pass matters because of how the pad contacts the glass. At the boundary the pad is partly over the frame, so pressure is uneven and a normal route leaves a thin line of film. Following the edge at a set offset lets the pad deal with that strip squarely, which is the difference a buyer notices immediately on a finished pane.

How the Edge Pass Is Run

The edge pass follows the boundary at a fixed offset, turning at each corner and covering the perimeter before stopping. It runs after the main route so the strip is cleaned with a pad that has already been rinsed of the bulk of the dirt, and the offset keeps the pad on the glass rather than on the seal.

Corner behaviour is set with the pass. the automatic edge cleaning robot slows into each corner and turns within the offset, which is what leaves the corner clean without the pad riding onto the frame. On frameless glass the offset is read from the edge of the pane rather than from a frame feature.

Cleaning Programmes Compared

Programme Coverage Where it shows
Full route only Whole pane except the boundary strip A line of film along the frame
Full route with spot mode Whole pane plus marked areas Stubborn patches still by hand
Full route with edge pass Whole pane plus the perimeter Clean boundary and corners
Edge pass with frame detection As above, held off the seal Clean boundary, gasket untouched

The last row is the configuration used where gasket staining or boundary marks have been a problem.

Edge Dirt, Gaskets and Pad Contact

Two problems meet at the boundary. The strip of glass next to the frame holds the most dirt, and the frame or gasket must not be soaked or compressed. An edge pass with a set offset solves both: the dirt is wiped squarely, and the pad stays clear of the rubber so water is not pushed into the seal.

Pad condition shows at the edge before it shows in the middle of a pane, because the contact pressure is highest there. When a buyer reports a line of film along the frame, the answer is usually a pad that has lost its pile rather than a fault in the programme, and a pad change restores the result.

OEM and Order Notes

The automatic edge cleaning robot is supplied as OEM work on programme sequence, edge offset, body colour, logo, carton artwork, manual language and accessory sets. The edge programme is demonstrated on a sample pane with the buyer's frame profile where one is supplied. Minimum order quantity, tooling and lead time are confirmed with the quotation.

FAQ

Q: What does the edge programme add on the automatic edge cleaning robot?

A: A defined pass along the boundary of the glass, run after the main route, which cleans the strip where dirt collects next to the frame instead of leaving a line of film.

Q: Does the edge pass touch the gasket?

A: It follows a set offset from the boundary, so the pad cleans the glass beside the seal without pressing on the rubber or pushing water into it.

Q: How are corners handled?

A: the automatic edge cleaning robot slows into each corner and turns within the offset, which cleans the corner without the pad riding onto the frame.

Q: Can the edge pass be switched off?

A: Programme options are set per model, and the edge pass can be left out where a buyer prefers the shorter main route.

Q: Why does a line of film appear along the frame?

A: Usually because the pad has lost its pile at the contact edge rather than because of the programme. Replacing the pad restores the finish.

Q: What is needed to quote?

A: The frame profile, programme requirements, market, colour, quantity, packaging format and branding.
